| Well...... Darren Shan goes to a banned freak show with his best mate Steve. It's the wonderfully gothic Cirque du Freak where weird, frightening half human/half animals appear who interact terrifyingly with the audience. Darren -- a spider freak -- 'falls in love' with Madam Octa -- an enormous tarantala owned by Mr Crepsly( who is actually a vampire). Darren determines to steal the spider so that he can train it to perform amazing tricks. But his daring theft goes horribly wrong. The spider bites his best mate and Darren has to sell his soul to an evil vampire to get the antidote........ (AWWW MAN theres no vampire emoticons!!!! ) (i found this on some website so sorry if its corny!!!)The cool thing is that the author (also called Darren Shan, he writes it like an autobiography) has totally changed vampires, kinda making them the good guys!!! | |

| i read the series up to - Quote :
- killers of the dawn
(book 8?) and it was pretty good. My favorites are - Quote :
- vampire's assistant
and - Quote :
- trials of death
. The vampires can dig their nails in walls and climb around and their breath makes people pass out (not from the smell of course) and they can do this thing were they move/run so fast humans cant see them. Its a good series but just a little odd | |
