1. The crusades were started so that the Roman Catholic Church could regain the holy lands so yes it is about religion. I agree it is the cause of a lot of world conflict, but not as much as other things like...oil...ugh.
2. Carbon dating can date back to 60,000 years chris by finding the number of carbon-14 left from radioactive decay. I dont know where u got the penguin from but a live penguin would not have begun to decay at all so it would still have all carbon-14 present and therefore be dated...well...not old at all.
3. The big bang theory is true, because from observing "red shifts" in other planets we can see that all the planets are moving away from each other, and therefore they originated from one central place.
